Trialists hoping to impress

Cooper: Looking to impress his namesake
The club today confirmed the two players had been training with the side - and manager Neale Cooper said he was still to decide whether either or both of the players had a future at the club.

"Shaun has picked up a slight hamstring injury so probably won't figure against Notts County at the weekend. I am yet to make a decision on whether Tom will play a part.

"I will be making a decision on Tom and Shaun in the next couple of days and hope to have a few more triallists in next week so that we can have a look at them."

With the club looking to financially restructure for the coming seasons, Cooper may need to scour the nation for suitable free transfers - and taking players on trial may prove to be a useful way of running the rule over the available talent. Judging by the two players on trial so far, he's clearly looking at bringing younger players to the club, which bodes well for the club's future.

Meanwhile, there have been rumours that former Millwall winger Christophe Kinet has been training with the club. Belgian Kinet was a handy wide player for the Lions, but is looking for a new club.
