Trio missing for Gills

Gillingham have a trio of absentees for their trip to Brentford. Defender Garry Richards has a severe bout of conjunctivitis and will not feature, while Simon King has only recently started jogging following an ankle injury that has kept him out all season. Jacob Erskine also has a knock, although it is unlikely he would have been selected by boss Mark Stimson. Striker James Walker could be in line for a debut after he joined earlier this week following his release from Southend. Stimson has no further injuries or suspensions to contend with as he attempts to mastermind a first away win of the season and put some breathing space between themselves and the clubs in the relegation zone.
