YOUR VERDICT: October Player of the Month
Of those who did receive votes, Andy Hessenthaler topped the list with just 12.6% of the vote. Youngster John Wallis and Frannie Collin picked up 10.6% and 7.9% of the vote respectively.
But the clear winner was the 'Nobody deserves the award' option, which polled a huge 55.6% of the total vote.
It just illustrates how upset and disappointed the Gills fans are with the performances of the players at the moment - and is a fair reflection of the mood of the fans at present.
There is a strong view that players aren't putting in the required effort - and aren't showing the passion for the team that the fans demand of their players.
Under Tony Pulis and Peter Taylor, Gillingham's players exuded a 'never say die' spirit that earned them countless points. In the last few seasons, the backbone and spirit of the side seems to have deteriorated to a new low.
Manager Neale Cooper certainly has his work cut out to produce a winning side from a team that has shown little passion to win on the field of late, but we are all hopeful that the gaffer can turn things round and the players can start to show us what they are capable of.
If they don't, we'll be playing League Two footbalI next season, without doubt.
The previous poll, asking who would the fans prefer to have as Gillingham captain was won by the narrowest of margins by former skipper Paul Smith. He took the honours in the vote by just one solitary vote, narrowly beating Mark Saunders into second place.
The current skipper, Chris Hope, polled less than half the votes of Saunders, in third place.
