Cambridge: Scored three late goals to sink Gills youths

"After the first 30 minutes there were specific things I wanted to address and it was pleasing to see that the players were learning," said Gills' Director of Youth, Bobby Paterson.

"The fitness levels were OK, but in the last 30 minutes you could tell that it was our first game of pre-season.

"I don't even have a full squad yet though and in hindsight I'm not sure whether I would have arranged the fixture to be played so early on in the month."

The reserve/youth team takes on Barking at Beechings Cross this coming Saturday at 11am before making the trip to Motspur Park to face Fulham on Tuesday July 19th. They then entertain West Ham back at Beechings Cross at lunchtime on Thursday 21st July.
