Byfield: Explained the confusion over his goal
"It was very difficult for us today. Forest have been struggling all season and they came here and shut up shop. When they had the ball, they kept it well.

"We knew they were going to come here and do well after their midweek disappointment. They have got a lot of good players, and have spent money in the pre-season as well. They are a team that could do well and I'll think they'll be somewhere up there at the end of the season."

Talking about his goal, which was initially contested by a lineman's flag, Byfield said, "The linesman thought Moses had touched it, and so would've been offside, but I knew that he had not. I ran over when I saw the flag and said he didn't touch it. The referee told the linesman and gave the goal. When we scored, I thought we were going to get something. At halftime, the Gaffer and Ronnie had said the next goal sets the match. We thought we'd get it, and then push for an equaliser."

Neale Cooper was less than happy with the side's performance, but Byfield said the gaffer was still relatively calm following the defeat. "He didn't rant and rave today. He knew we were all disappointed, as we know we can do much better. He did say that we need to sort it out and be ready for Monday. The good thing is that we are playing Monday, so we can get it out of our system early, and get a result against Brentford. It is certainly something we are capable of doing.

"I know they are a direct side, so hopefully we can do something to counter that, and get the three points. If we can get another win on Monday, it gets us straight back up there. It is close at the top, and the main thing is that we get over today and get a result."
