Crofts: "We stuck at it"
Talking to the official website, Crofts said, "It was a bit of a scrappy game to start with, and we had to earn the right to play. They are big, physical, well-organised team and they know what that league is all about. In the end, we stuck at it, showed good character and we're really happy with the win."

Talking about his crucial equaliser with a quarter of an hour to go, Crofts said, "It was a great ball from Spills. I thought I'd get myself into the box and wait for him to put it in. I didn't think I was going to get there, so I just threw myself at it, and I was lucky to direct it into the bottom corner."

Darren Byfield eventually won the match for the Gills with a superb effort with one minute to go - and Crofts was quick to praise his teammate, saying, "He has been magnificent this year. In pre-season he has worked really hard, he has been looking really sharp and he is banging in the goals. I hope he can continue to do that, as he is looking really good."
