Championship Picks: Week 4 Roundup

Last updated : 08 February 2005 By Simon Head
It's been a bad week for Gillingham - and it was also an equally bad week for our Championship Picks boardsters, with only one person managing to improve on their score.

AnnaB improved her score with a 26-point haul in Week 4, which gave her the best score of the week, as well as moving her up the high score table.

Despite Anna's success, the rest of the boardsters fared pretty much the same as the Gills this week - badly. Failure to pick up any serious points this week means it's 'as you were' at the top of the table, with Guffie parked at the top - and he doesn't look like he's going to shift, either.

The battle for the worst score of the week was keenly fought this week, with Fred_the_Needle taking the weekly wooden spoon with a pretty pathetic score of eight points. Mind you, Grumpy did his best, but will have to content himself with plain mediocrity after scoring a paltry nine points.

After a week off, Spitfire returned to the competition and achieved the third-best score of the week. He improved his high score too, but his new best score of 21 points wasn't enough to lift him above the bottom of the table.

With each player's best weekly score counting towards the high score table, it's anyone's title, and the competition will remain wide open until the end of the season. Guffie's still the man to beat, with 47 points, but there's still time to beat him. Send in your predictions for Week 5 and get your mates involved too. The more, the merrier!
