Championship Picks: Week 6 Roundup

Last updated : 21 February 2005 By Simon Head
It's been a weekend of missed opportunities for us all this week. The Gills showed their inability to hold onto a lead...twice as they snatched a draw from the jaws of victory - and it was a similar state of affairs for the Championship Picks boardsters this week.

A handful of players failed to register their predictions this week, meaning they gave themselves no opportunity to move up the table. Not that it mattered, as it turned out, as each and every one of the existing boardsters failed to improve on his or her best scores this week.

Even the five newcomers to the game had a bad week on their debut week. Their scores failed to make any impression on the high score table - and as a result they occupy the bottom five positions in the table.

Best score of the week goes to Symongills2 and debutant Davefromkent, who both managed 22 points, while the wooden spoon goes to Grumpy after his 'expert' predictions delivered a woeful 10 points. How he managed to get the second best weekly score is anyone's guess!

As I'm sure you all now know, with each player's best weekly score counting towards the high score table, it's anyone's title, and the competition will remain wide open until the end of the season. Register your predictions for Week 7 - and get your mates involved. Playing is easy, but winning is much tougher!
