The competition was further strengthened by some more newcomers this week, bringing the
Kudos this week goes to none other than our Leeds-based fan, Fred_the_Needle. He managed a pretty handy score of 29 points this week. He couldn't get to Millmoor, but I understand he'll be in-situe at Elland Road to (hopefully) see us continue our run of good form.
The other notable score this week came from Thetownender2005, who I believe sits in the Medway Stand (you work that one out?!). He managed a whopping 28 points in only his second week in the Championship Picks competition. He moves up the high-score table to a far-more-respectable ninth place.
Worst score of the week goes to our resident Tractor Boy Sir_Wark. Not only did he see his side lose 1-0 to Wigan at the JJB this weekend, Ipswich are now out of the automatic promotion places. To top it all off, he managed a paltry 15 points this week, not least because he predicted his side to get a draw. Still, there's always next week...
Finally, a (dis)honourable mention must go to Priest_Field. You'll notice that he hasn't registered a score this week. That's because he didn't enter his predictions on time. He did enter his predictions, however - and would have scored 100%, 55 points. How did he do so well? He 'entered' them at 10.25 on Sunday night! Nice try!
With the season fast approaching its climax, the games become more and more competitive as teams scrap it out for valuable league points. It's no different here in Championship Picks, as you only need one fantastic score to take the title (just ask our leader, the spawny git known as Guffie!). Get your predictions in for Week 9 and good luck. If someone's going to catch Guffie, they're going to need it!
