Elliott now takes over top spot and is now the only player to remain unbeaten (who would of thought it?) as he beat GTAT 0-4. GTAT was that worried about Mr T's impressive unbeaten run that he never even bothered to turn up. Probably hoping that this would at least give himself some sort of excuse.
When Guffie played Markg earlier in the season he beat him 7-4. Well Mark must still be having nightmares about that and the thought of playing me again at my place was too much for him and he gave it a miss and let my team have a bit of a kick about and an easy 4-0 victory. Thanks Mark, the points came in handy. Unfortunately Mark now takes bottom spot.
Just above Mark is the Odds league winner Fred, oh how the mighty have fallen, who lost this week...again. He played Martb earlier in the season and was unfortunately beaten 2-4. This week it was Mart who was playing host and also the only one playing football as he beat Fred 4-2...again. I can see a pattern emerging here…
It's good to see that the Evens league champion is faring much better as Wilts now sits well above Fred after his 4-4 draw with Townender. Actually when I say well above Fred I actually mean JUST above Fred...third from bottom...on goals scored. Townender keeps his good home form going, unbeaten at home in his last three games and Wiltsy has now conceded more goals than anyone else in this division.
Trueblue and Baldangel battled out a 3-3 draw. This is Baldangel's third draw in four games so it looks like his tactic for the rest of the season is to play for a point. That's one way of finishing above Fred and Wilts I suppose.
SkoobiBloo hadn't won at home in his last four games there so was probably quite pleased to walk away with a 2-2 draw against KFG . Look out in your next game KFG, you may be facing a bit of a backlash from Jagman.
Jonhinio was showing us that his training for the marathon wasn't affecting his football as he gave Symon a right royal 4-1 thrashing. Not that I bear Symon any ill will after he beat me last week and the guy in the corner of the stand leaping up and down every time Jon scored definitely wasn't me, honest. As you all know, I never show any bias with my reviews. (Well played Jon).
Gillsalltheway was hoping to keep his good form going with a home tie against Ted Howes, who was looking to get his second win in this league. Ted proved just that little bit too strong for GATW and beat him 4-5 in a very hard-fought game with a last-gasp winner. But I'm sure Ted will find an away trip to Mr T in his next game a much harder proposition. (At least I hope he does).
Zoidy had only scored three goals in this league and was facing medwayblue, who was feeling confident after his thrashing of Jonhinio in the previous week's game. But too much confidence can be a dangerous thing as Zoidy proved by beating him 5-3. Those new strikers Zoidy bought in the transfer window are already proving they were worth the money. However medwayblue's new keeper might be warming the bench a lot this season.
