Kezz managed a little better this week, but only just as she held on for a 2-2 draw with Spitfire. The reigning champ has now played Kezz twice and has yet to beat her. (Got to be worth a little micky taking). He has now drawn his last three games but still remains in 4th place but now with both Davefromkent and Gills21st breathing down his neck.
Franky is back to his winning ways and also back on top of the league after stopping JFC reaching his next milestone of two wins on the trot by beating him 2-3. Never mind JFC, at least you beat Kezz last week. (Did I mention that?)
Davefromkent keeps his good run going by beating Jasper 2-0. (Nil??). In his last eight away games Jasper has only won twice and both times were against JFC. He must be really proud. Dave now moves up to 5th in the league, just behind Spitty.
Gills21st played host to Frediculous Biggs and it promised to be a great game because the last time they met it was a twelve-goal thriller, ending 6-6. The only similarity with this game was the outcome...a draw. This time rouind both sides were as boring as each other and only managed to score one goal each. Really must stop these late Friday nights lads.
Last Waltz gets his first win in eleven games. He easily beat, yes you guessed it, Fommt 3-1. LW now moves above Fommt and pushes him down to 2nd from bottom, just above Lorraine. Mind you he hasn't played her yet so no doubt he will soon be propping up the league. (I have every faith in you Fommt...honest!)
Deano was league leader and was at home to Elsie and hoping to remain in first place but Elsie had other ideas. It turned out to be a tight game with neither player managing to clinch it as it finished 3-3. Is Deano finding life at the top a bit tough?
This left the door open for Wilfred to take 2nd spot in his game away to Welease Woderwick. Wilf had won his last three games and was looking to make it four in a row but Woders battled hard and earned himself a share of the points with the game also finishing 3-3. Wilf was obviously thinking that if it's good enough for Deano it's good enough for him.
Birl had an away trip to Gaz showing great form on his travels having won his last four away games (Just a pity his home form wasn't as good). You just knew it would be a tight game with both teams separated in the league by just goals scored and so it proved as the game finished in a 4-4 draw.
NWBluesfan beat Lorraine 2-3 and wins his third game in a row. This gives him a new personal record and shows a complete change in fortunes since his three straight defeats. Lorraine is still finding her feet and settling in with her new squad. Franky was the same when he first started and look at him now sitting top of the league and showing us that there is hope for us all, yes even Fommt.
Grumpy lost (again) this week. He was beaten by CMC42 (again). Earlier in the season Grumps lost 5-4 to Cmc but this time he only lost lost 3-4. Making some progress then. I think Grumpy can't wait to move back into his ground which is being upgraded at the moment. It should be the start of next season but then they said that about Wembley.
Another 100% turnout this week which is a great effort. Except for Fommt of course who seems to be there in body but definitely not in spirit.
