PREMIER LEAGUE
KFG stays top after an easy 3-5 away victory against Guffie. KFG has only lost one game this season so he's on great form, whereas poor old Guffie hasn't won in his last three games (ahhh) and now drops precariously close to the relegation zone. KFG has now ensured that he will be playing Premier League football again after the first split in two games' time.
Second-placed Jagman played host to third place Ted the Aussie this week with both teams unbeaten in their last two games. It proved to be a very close game and it looked like it was heading for a 3-3 draw until Ted's side scored a very, very late winner giving him a vital 3-4 away win against a totally dejected Jagman. His side had given everything and Jaggers was having to be restrained as he was 'politely' asking the referee where on earth the seven minutes extra time had come from. Ted didn't care, he had the three points. It may of cost him a few Bob but whats money to a man of Teds means?
Headley just missed out on making it three wins out of three by only managing 4-4 draw with Jonhinio. But then I don't know which of the two will be more upset. After all, it was only Headley. Things looking a bit tight for Headley now. Jonhinio manages to hold on to 5th spot.
Both the games between GTAT V Symon and MartB v Trueblue finished in high scoring 5-5 draws which leaves the league positions pretty much the same as last week, except for Ted moving up into second place and Guffies plummet to just above relegation spot. There are only two points seperating 9th from 4th spot with only two games left to go. Are we getting nervous yet?
CHAMPIONSHIP
League leader Gaz the Grass forgot to put in a banker match and so receives a big fat zero for his score this week. But even if he had remembered his banker there was no way he was stopping a rampant Spitfire from blasting six past him. This was by far Spitty's best win of the season and , by far, Gazza's worst defeat.
Mr T has been playing that badly just lately that he didn't even bother turning up this week. If he had looked he would have seen that his opponent for this week was only Grumpy, who hasn't exactly been setting the league alight with his tactical prowess. This allowed Grumpys Rancid Donkeys their first win in four games with an easy 5-0 victory.
SkoobiBloo had an away trip to Gills21st in their own private relegation battle this week and Skoobi must have been feeling the tension a bit. He managed to put down the same banker as Gills21 and came away losing 5-3. This moves Gills21 just out of the bottom three (for now) but only on goals scored over Franky.
Franky's three match winning run comes to an end as he loses 1-2 at home to Zoidy and he drops like a brick back into the bottom three. Obviously didn't like the dizzy heights he had reached. But Zoidy now climbs into one of the three promotion spots but knowing Zoidy he will probably blow it on the last game before the first split.
Baldangel must have been delighted to see his side thump six past second placed Deano, only to see his defence crumble and Deano's side run riot as the game ended in a 6-6 draw. But this point is still enough to put Deano back in top spot.
LEAGUE ONE
I'd firstly like to thank Fred for allowing us humble serfs to give out this weeks results. (Wasnt so cocky last week when he lost 3-0 to MedwayBlue. Yep, nil. Never even scored a goal). But this week he did manage to beat Speedy at home 6-4. But before he gets too carried away with himself (not that he would of course) perhaps Speedy should remind him that in the same fixture last season, he beat Fred 2-4.
6-4 was also the score as Wilf beat MedwayBlue at home. This puts Wilf one point off the promotion candidates but leaves MedwayBlue struggling in second from bottom spot. Bottom spot belongs to Townender who remains there this week even, and you may find this very difficult to believe, after getting his first point of the season. (Gasp. Three cheers everyone). He still never showed up, it's just that his opponent, NWBluesfan, didn't either so the game ended in a 0-0 draw. With both players near certs to drop out at the first break, the competition is looking for two new players to replace them, so send your emails to Headley please if you fancy getting involved.
It was also a draw between Birl and Gillsalltheway but this was by far a better game to watch. Well they both turned up for a start. It finished in a 5-5 scoreline leaving Gillsalltheway in third spot and Birl in 5th.
Second spot was taken from GATW by Elsie who beat Kezz 4-1. Poor Kezz has now lost her last four games, bless her. She turns up every week but sometimes its hard to fathom out why. Elsie is determined to get one of the promotion spots because the way things are looking she could be playing against Symon after the split.
LEAGUE TWO
The best result of the day was Fommts 2-6 hiding of third-placed Welease Woderwick. Fommt must have aspirations of playing in Division One after the split but he needs to be careful as things are quite tight in this league.
Cmc42 only managed a 1-1 home draw against bottom placed Gills Gaz but thats still enough to keep her in top spot. Gills Gaz still remains in bottom spot but good news mate...you can't get any lower.
Jasper moves into second place and moves Houston down to third after beating her 3-4 on her home soil. Not really been a good week in Fife this week has it? Jasper is certainly making amends for not showing up last week.
Perksd is certainly making a late charge for promotion after beating JFC 4-2. Perks is now unbeaten in his last three games. In fact the last time he was beaten was when Cmc put a perfect eight past him. Jfc on the other hand seems to have given up the ghost and resigned himself to the fact hes found his level in this league.
Frediculous-Biggs beat Fan Of Mulligan 4-3 this week to finally get himself out of the bottom three. After losing his first three games he is now unbeaten in his last four. Has the world gone mad? I would have thought Mullers would have been better this week after his amazing 4-2 win over Cmc last week.
Things are getting really tight now with only two games to go before the split. Who's nerve will hold and who'll lose their bottle? On to Week 8...
