Wilts goes marching on but GTAT keeps his lead down to three points with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Franky, whose last win came when his predictions were made by Mrs Franky! Maybe time to think about stepping aside and letting 'The Boss' take over.
One of the best results this week is a good 5-0 home win for Spitfire over Akinbiyi who must have seen this coming as he didn't even bother to turn up. Spitty now moves up to eleventh, just below the 'Great Divide'. Is this his push for the top? Aki moves into bottom spot and looks in real danger of being in league two for the second half of the season.
Another one who didn't show this week was The_Last_Waltz so a comfortable home win was on the cards for medwayblue. It ended 0-0! (name and shame, that's what i say!).
Things aren't looking very rosy in the Elsie2 camp at the moment as she slips to her 5th defeat in a row, losing at home to Baldangel 2-3. Baldangel, on the other hand is now on a run of six unbeaten games and moves up into 7th spot.
A tough battle was on the cards as 5th placed SkoobiBloo played host to 3rd placed Jagman. The result was a 4-4 draw keeping them both unchanged in their respective positions. In fact all of the top six teams remain unchanged as 6th placed Markg183 drew 1-1 at home with Jonhinio.
Another tough game was the lower end of the table battle between the “drawmeister” elliottthegillsfan and wilfred_h. This game ended in a nail-biting 4-5 away victory to Wilfred as he now leapfrogs over elliott into 13th place.
Now we focus on the 'big push' by NWBluesFan which started, again, last week. Well it's business as usual for NWB as he goes down 2-4 at home to birl_1997. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Kezz was persuaded to join the league by her mentor MrGrumpy, assuring her that if the worst came to the worst at least she would beat Guffie. So with a home game against me, and Grumpy's words echoing in her ears she must have been brimming with confidence. She lost 2-4 as my mighty strike force gave her defence a real lesson in football. But as I'm the shy, retiring type who doesn't like to wind people up she won't hear anymore about it, honest!
So things getting tense in the mid-table positions with any of the teams at the bottom still in with a chance of making the cut.
Oh, by the way, did I mention that Kezz lost 2-4 at home to me? I did? That's good. For a minute there I'd forgot to mention that she lost 2-4 at home to me…
