McCammon was dismissed for 'Serious Foul Play' and not 'Violent Conduct' as has been reported elsewhere - and this has a major impact on the club's appeal.
As a result, the judicial panel will decide whether McCammon's challenge endangered the safety of an opponent - in this case Aldershot goalkeeper Nicky Bull.
If the panel rule that the challenge did not endanger Bull's safety, McCammon's red card will be rescinded and the striker will be available to play at the weekend against Port Vale.
However, if the panel rule in favour of the referee and reject the appeal, McCammon will be banned for three matches.
The appeal takes place at 1pm today.
