His movement, strength and acute awareness of his teammates’ positioning made him almost impossible to mark. While other players in that great side took the plaudits, Tostao’s quiet contribution to that great side made Brazil tick up front. He was a prolific goalscorer in Brazil and is still regarded as one of their greatest ever strikers.
