jasper_gill: We've been here before!!

I remember well the same situation at Stoke, where our brilliant fans filled the away end of the Britannia Stadium knowing that our safety could lie in the hands of Rotherham at the Bescot Stadium.

I remember my excitement on the journey up there. I also remember very vividly being stuck behind a police incident and getting out to talk to some Norwich fans on the way to Crewe to celebrate their promotion in style. I remember seeing them on the way back briefly and the smiles on both parties faces was brilliant to see!.

I have my tickets for Forest, as do nearly 4000 other fans. The fact that we are taking that many on what could go, but we all hope shouldn't, be a horrible day, is a testament to the confidence that the new management team, and the new lease of life they seem to have given our players. A lot of our travelling fans are confident, and rightly so.

It wasn't always so easy for our fans to be confident at this time last year. Stoke were a tough defensive team, and we hadn't been on the best of form coming up to the finale. Like Stoke, Rotherham had nothing much to play for at Walsall, so it could've gone either way. Getting to the 86th minute, Walsall currently down and out, and Patrick Agyemang going through on goal....go on Patrick!!......and he falls over his feet. I just felt it wouldn't be our day. But we came through it, just about, and when news reached our fingernail-less fans at the end of the game, we got the confirmation. We were ready to fight another 46 games in the second tier.

I am pretty confident about it, but I sincerely hope I could be telling this sort of story this time next year.

ITS NOT QUITE THE LAST WALTZ YET GILLS!!
