Jarvis: offered improved terms, but will probably still go
The winger missed a large part of last season, supposedly through injury, but the general concensus was he was being kept in cotton wool to prevent a transfer falling through.

The news of Charlton signing Luke Varney and Chris Iwelumo has dampened speculation linking Jarvis with a move to the Addicks - and Gills chairman Scally has moved quickly to offer the 20-year-old a new deal.

Whether Jarvis - and perhaps more importantly, his agent - will agree terms on the deal is another matter.

Jarvis appears to have his heart set on a move to a bigger club - and even though a move to Charlton appears to have fallen by the wayside, there is sure to be a handful of Championship clubs interested in securing his signature, including Plymouth, who made a cash bid for the winger last season.
