Kamara: Reckons the target can be beaten this season
The challenge is to score 4,500 goals over the course of the season - and covers all three Coca-Cola League divisions.

Leicester's David Connolly has certainly started off on the right foot, having scored four goals in his first two games this season, including a hat-trick against Stoke City.

"Things seem to be going well for me at the moment. I feel good and feel like I can score in every game.

"I have got a few hat-tricks in my career, but they don't come along very often so when they do it is nice."

The million-pound challenge gives all 72 league clubs a share of £1million prize if the total goals scored in all three divisions exceeds 4,500. Leicester's spokesman explained, "Every club would love to have a share of Coca-Cola's £1m prize money and we hope David (Connolly) carries on scoring the goals to help that dream come true. We're delighted to help the latest Goal Chase get off to a great start.

After the first week of the season, there have been 174 goals scored. The league clubs fell short of their target last season, but Coca-Cola Ambassador and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara reckons the challenge is well and truly on his time around.

"Andrew Johnson and Dean Ashton come head-to-head this weekend and you can bet your bottom dollar that those two will be looking for around 20 goals this term, which will certainly help the Goal Chase.

"Last year teams fell just short of their aim, but this time around there are so many people capable of getting goals in the Coca-Cola Football League that I'm confident it can be reached.

"David Connolly has made a great start, and now he could look to score as many goals as we all know he is capable of."
