Against the bottom clubs such as Coventry and Plymouth, we have deserved 3points and put in a good performance as well, but with tough games such as
Ipswich, West Ham, Milwall and Wolves all to come, the team will need to
step up their performances.
Listening to the game on the radio, I wasn't aware of too many chances
coming our way, maybe just one when the once again impressive Crofts hit
the post. Going forward we are very weak, Byfield hasn't looked interested
in the last few games, and Darius never had control of a very strong
Leicester defence. Lots of our own defensive errors have cost us the away
points, and I was told that Nayron had a nightmare game against Tiatto and
Connolly.
I personally think that we need another forward, who is preferably an
experienced goalscorer, and a couple of midfielders, preferably a winger.
Getting these players in won't be easy but the Gills are in desperate need
of new ideas to keep them in the Championship.
